996:INroots

"In order to get back home to my ill mother, I took a shortcut through a dark, black and white forest in a dark, black and white world; whilst faces I knew peered at me from behind the trunks of the black trees."

996:INroots is a short adventure game with horror,  puzzle and visual novel elements. It thrusts the player into a dream-like and bleak world, where no grand conclusion can be reached. It contains an original soundtrack composed of several samples from classical music, twisted and mangled into deeply disconcerting tracks. There are 3 (+1) endings, all achieved by replaying the game on the same save file. There are no time limits. There are some jumpscares. There are some loud noises.

Around 15~30 minutes per playthrough. An hour and a half (1:30) total.
